About Us

We are a seasonal greenhouse, opening the last Saturday in April and closing once product is depleted.  We grow as much of our own product as possible and provide annuals, herbs, vegetables and perennials.  We currently do not sell trees and shrubs.

Our History

1992 – Garden Center, then known as Ennenga’s East End, opened near shore of Lake Superior
1994 – Added hoop house
1997 – Moved growing operation to current location on County Road 15. Main house and
House #1, leaving one greenhouse in Grand Marais for retail as all plants were shipped
1999 – Added first half of House #2
2001 – Added second half of House #2 and small hoop house
2003 – Opened for retail at Jenkins location
2004 – Added House #4 and sign area
2005 – Sold Grand Marais location, revamped sales area and added work building
2006 – Added courtyard and display gardens
2007 – Added patio area and arbor

2010- Added overflow house #6 for additional growing and spacing

2012-Remodeled main house to be retail friendly

2015- Added overflow house #7

2020- Added online shopping

Just off the Whitefish Chain of Lakes

Perched on the edge of the Whitefish Chain, Ennenga’s Garden Center is an enchanting world of sights and smells.  As you enter, you will encounter a dizzying array of color to tantalize your senses.  It’s a great time to slow down and relax – don’t be in too much of a hurry.  Plan to spend some time so you can enjoy the process of choosing your plants.  The coffee is always on so grab a friend to share the fun.  Feel free to meander to your heart’s content.   Our team members are always available to assist you, as well
